You will visit the Tibetan Culture Center with workshops on Thangka painting (Tibetan icon painting), calligraphy, making Lungta – prayer flags, incense making, etc.

On this tour, you will have the opportunity to see an incredibly beautiful evening costume open-air show “Princess Wencheng” about the love of real historical characters – Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and Chinese princess Wencheng, who lived in the 7th century AD.

    Day 1

    July 21, 2026, Tuesday. Arrival in Lhasa (3650 m)
    You are picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel along the scenic road along the Yalujangbu River. The main focus today is smooth acclimatization. We rest, drink tea. In the evening, if we have the strength, we take our first kora walk along the ancient Barkhor Street with the pilgrims, soaking up the atmosphere of the sacred city.

    Day 2

    July 22, 2026, Wednesday. Samye and Chimpu Caves – the origins of wisdom
    We will travel to Samye, Tibet’s first Buddhist monastery built in the form of a mandala. Here you can experience the birth of a spiritual tradition. If we are lucky, we will attend the morning puja (service) and receive a blessing from the lama. After lunch we will climb to the Chimpu Caves, a place of power where great teachers meditated. Here, amidst the mountain silence, one can hear the silence within oneself.

    Day 3

    July 23, 2026, Thursday. Treasures of Lhasa – Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple

    Today we will visit the hallmark of Tibet – the majestic Potala Palace, the former residence of the Dalai Lamas. After that we will go to the heart of the city – Jokhang Temple. Here there is a 2,500-year-old statue of Jowo Shakyamuni. It is believed that it was consecrated by Buddha himself and has healing powers. It is the place where you can make your deepest wish.

    Day 4

    July 24, 2026, Friday. Road to Shigatze – turquoise lake and glaciers
    We will drive along one of the most beautiful roads in the world! We will meet the turquoise lake Yamdrok Tso, whose waters, according to legends, have mystical powers. We will see the Karola glacier glistening in the sun. In the town of Gyantse we will visit the unique monastery of Pelkhor Chode and see the largest stupa in Central Tibet – Kumbum, where thousands of Buddha images look down at us from the walls.

    July 25, 2026, Saturday. Tashilunpo Monastery and views of the Himalayas
    In the morning we will visit Tashilunpo Monastery, the seat of Panchen-lam, which houses a giant 26-meter statue of the Buddha of the Future. Then we will be transferred to Saga with stunning views of the Main Himalayan Range and the eight-thousand meter high Shishabangma.

    Day 6

    July 26, 2026, Sunday. Transfer from Shigatze to Lhasa

    Visit to the Center of Tibetan Culture (optional) with master classes on Thangka painting (Tibetan icon painting), calligraphy, making Lungta – prayer flags, incense making, etc.
    Training takes place in the center of historical Lhasa in the house of our good friend. He is a 5th generation native of Lhasa. Their whole family are typical representatives of the Tibetan people – they live according to all the rules and traditions. Training is provided by experts in their art.

     

     

    Evening show “Princess Wencheng” (optional). This is a very beautiful large-scale performance under the open starry sky about the love of real historical heroes – Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and Chinese princess Wencheng, who lived in the 7th century AD. The sets and costumes are very beautiful. The place where the performance takes place is also beautiful, with a view of the Potala Palace in the night lights.
    The show starts at 9:30 pm, goes on for about 2 hours. Cost from 380 to 1280 yuan (depends on the seats selected, not included in the tour price).

    TOUR COST per 1 person for the year 2026

    When booking:
    Before December 1, 2025 – $2,100
    Before February 1, 2026 – $2,200
    After February 1, 2026 – $2,300

    Payment in installments is possible. For regular customers there is an accumulative system of discounts.

    In case of group booking the cost of the tour is 1800 $, provided that the group consists of at least 9 people. (If you assemble your own group.) The cost for a group of less than 9 people is calculated individually.

    The price of the tour includes:

    • Permits (permits to stay in Tibet).
    • All transfers by comfortable tourist transportation for the group.
    • Accommodation in 4* hotels (2-bed accommodation).
    • Hotel breakfasts.
    • Excursions according to the program, all entrance fees.
    • Accompanying the group with an experienced Tibetan guide and Russian-speaking group leader / interpreter.
    • Drinking water.
    • Oxygen canisters.

    The tour price does NOT include:

    • Air travel to and from Lhasa.
    • Lunches and dinners.
    • Entry tourist visa to China (to be issued in advance). Citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan and some others do not need a visa;
    • Health Insurance.
    • Single (single) room supplement is optional, $400.
    • Tip to the driver, Tibetan guide.
    • Optional program items: theatrical show “Princess Winchen”, photo shoot, visit to the Tibetan Culture Center.
