          On this journey, we will to explore the ancient Tibetan spiritual tradition of Bon,<\/b><\/strong> which predates Buddhism by many centuries. Buddhism came to Tibet in the 7th century. Before that, people in Tibet followed the Bon religion, which bears a great resemblance to shamanism. Now there are few Bon followers in Tibet, and Bon monasteries in their pure form have hardly survived. But there are still some, and we plan to visit them. <\/p> \n

          We’re going to do around Kailas according to the Bon tradition – counterclockwise.<\/b><\/strong> Counterclockwise movement in all energy practices is used for purification, relaxation, getting rid of negative energy, nullification. Clockwise movement is the opposite: energy intake, receiving benefits, accumulation of merit. Going kora counterclockwise is more difficult than going clockwise. Most pilgrims these days walk clockwise (Hindu, Buddhist). In all of our itineraries to Kailas in 2026, in addition to this, a clockwise circumambulation of the mountain is planned. Going on this tour and doing the Bon kora is a unique opportunity for those who respond to the idea. And perhaps it is not so important which way we go, what matters is the sincere intention, the call of the heart to be in this place. <\/p> \n

          On this trip, we will also visit Samye Monastery<\/b><\/strong> – The first Buddhist monastery in Tibet, which was founded in the 8th century with the blessings of Guru Padmasambhava. This monastery began the spread of Buddhism in Tibet, replacing the Bon tradition. <\/p> \n
