Nepal is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Buddha and as a mountaineering Mecca, which is fully or partially located 8 of the 14 highest peaks in the world (“the eight thousandth peak”).<\/p> \n \n

Here is the highest mountain on the planet Everest (8848 m). The Tibetans call this peak Jomolungma<\/strong>, which means “Divine Mother of the Universe. The name of Mount Jomolungma was given in honor of the goddess Miyo Langsangma, who resides on its summit and slopes. The second, English name “Everest” was given to the mountain in 1856 in honor of Sir George Everest, chairman of the Surveying Committee of India.<\/p> \n \n

Trekking to Everest base camp gives you the opportunity to enjoy the views of the world’s highest peak and the snow-capped giants surrounding it in Sagarmatha National Park for many days.<\/p> \n \n

Together with the mountain air you will absorb the images of the majestic Himalayas and be filled with the bubbling energy of nature – something that will stay with you for a lifetime.<\/p> \n \n

The best seasons for this trekking are spring and fall, when there are no summer rains and not as cold as in winter. March and April is the season of blooming rhododendrons that grace the path.<\/p> \n \n
