On this tour you will visit the sacred sites of Nepal and Bhutan! These are two amazing little countries located in the Himalayas. <\/p>\n\n

Bhutan <\/strong> is a mysterious kingdom in which we will see the phenomenon of a country untouched by the achievements of modern civilization. Limited access to the country for tourists and its isolation from the outside world allows it to preserve its national identity and authenticity, not for nothing it is called the “Last Shangri-La” <\/strong>. Bhutan is the last place on the planet where nature and wildlife remain pure and unspoiled, people are simple and open. People there wear national costumes, and until a few years ago there was no television or radio in Bhutan. Tibetan culture has been preserved <\/strong>here in its purest form. <\/strong>This is the land of Buddhism, purity and enlightenment.<\/p>\n\n

Bhutan is often rated as the happiest country in the world, <\/strong> and the economy here is not measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) but by Gross National Happiness.<\/p>\n\n

The doors to this marvelous realm were not opened until 1974<\/strong>. It is still forbidden to travel to Bhutan on your own, and you can only get here by buying a tour.<\/p>\n\n

In Bhutan you will visit the sacred sites of Bhutan: the magnificent Punakha Dzong<\/strong>, the ancient pilgrimage site of Kichu Lhakang<\/strong>, and of course the famous Paro Taksang (Nest of the Tigress)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

You will witness the Talo Tsechu festival in Punakha<\/strong> dedicated to Guru Rinpoche<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The colorful and exciting festival reflects Bhutan’s rich culture and traditions. We will see the famous sacred mask dances<\/strong> accompanied by Astar, the Bhutanese “jester,” and hear the sacred songs of the festival.<\/p>\n\n

We will spend one night in a Bhutanese farmhouse. This will give us the opportunity to learn more about Bhutanese culture, everyday life and cuisine. We can even take a bath with river stones and Himalayan herbs heated in a fire. The baths are on the banks of a small mountain stream and waterfall.<\/p>\n\n

In Nepal, you will see the Ancient Stupas of Kathmandu Valley, <\/strong>little-known monasteries and temples, visit distinctive artisan<\/strong> towns and participate in pujas.<\/p>\n\n
