The “mystical” Maya city of Yaxchilan,<\/strong> located deep in the jungle<\/strong>, can only be reached by waterway, by boat<\/strong>, which we will do. We will visit hidden caves and grottoes<\/strong>, reach waterfalls<\/strong> known only to locals, walk through one of the most beautiful canyons<\/strong> in the world de Sumidero<\/strong> and observe wild animals, monkeys and exotic birds inhabiting it. We’ll see volcanoes<\/strong>. We will bathe in crystal clear karst lakes<\/strong> – cenotes, which for the indigenous people were sacred and were the entrance to another world – the world of spirits and deities living deep underground.<\/p>
