Day 1. September 14, 2025, Sunday.
Arrive in Delhi (or fly to Dehradun) and transfer to Rishikesh. Acclimatization and familiarization.
The Ghats of Ganga.
Visit to Trayambakeshwar temple.
Visit to Parmarth Niketan Ashram.
Evening Ganga arati.
Pick up at the airport in Dehradun. Transfer to Rishikesh along the scenic road between the Himalayan hills will take about an hour. Hotel accommodation and rest.
Lunch at a cafe overlooking the Ganga.
If you fly in early you can visit a few places:
– Take ablution in the Ganges on one of the ghats.
– Visit the 13-story Trayambakeshwar temple.
– Stroll down the main tourist street with authentic stores and temples.
In the evening we will visit Parmarth Niketan Ashram and take part in the evening river worship – Ganga arati.

Day 2. September 15, 2025, Monday.
Rishikesh.

A visit to the Maharishi Ashram where the Beatles were.
Triveni ghat, VIP Ganga arati.
We will greet the dawn at the marvelous place of Sathya Sai Ghat and take ablution. After breakfast we will visit the local temple of Sri Akshileshwar Mahadev where we will perform abhisheka (ablution) for Lord Shiva in the form of an impressive sized Lingam.
We will walk to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram where, in 1968, the legendary members of The Beatles studied yoga and Transcendental Meditation and wrote most of the songs of the famous “White Album”.
Lunch at a cafe overlooking the Ganga.
In the evening we will visit Triveni ghat, VIP Ganga arati.

Day 3. September 16, 2025, Tuesday.
Devprayag, Dhari Devi temple, overnight at Rudraprayag.
Ablution in the prajag.

Early morning after breakfast we leave for the first of the Panch Prayag, the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alakananda rivers – Devprayag, the place where the river Ganga gets its name. Here we will walk around the village of Devprayag, perform ablutions, and participate in a puja conducted by local Brahmins.
We will then visit the temple of Lord Rama, his meditation place and participate in mantra meditation at this sacred place.
After lunch transfer to Rudraprayag.
On the way we will visit the temple of Durga Devi – Dhari Devi, which is located right on the river and stands on stilts. We will learn why the temple is located in this particular place by listening to the story of the guardian of these expanses.

Day 4. September 17, 2025, Wednesday.

After breakfast we will visit Rudraprayag, the confluence of Alakananda and Mandakini rivers, Rudranatha temple and the cave temple of Shiva Koteshwar Mahadev with 1000 self manifested shivalingams. We learn the story of the bloodthirsty leopard Rudraprayag and a bit about John Corbett, who saved the residents from his terror.

Day 5. September 18, 2025, Thursday.
Karnaprayag, Adi Badri temple (17 km), Nandaprayag, Vridh Badri temple, overnight at Joshimath.

After breakfast we will visit the third Panch Prayag: Karnaprayag (1450m) – the confluence of Alakananda and Pindar. Here one of the heroes of Mahabharata – Karna performed asceticism and worshipped Surya (Sun God), we will learn his sad story on the banks of this prajag.
Then we will come in contact with one of the oldest temple complexes dedicated to Vishnu – Adi Badri, built in the 5th through 8th centuries. Shankaracharya, the first temple from Panch Badri on our journey.
At Nandaprayag, a wonderfully peaceful and meditative place where the waters of Alakananda and Nandakini merge, we learn the story of how a devotee of God can become his father in his loving service to Him.
On the way we will visit the Vridha Badri Temple, located 7 km south of Joshimath, on the main Rishikesh-Badrinath road.

After breakfast, we will visit Shankaracharya’s cave and the Jyotir Math “Temple of Light” temple founded by him.
Nrisimhadeva temple is the winter abode of the deity Badrinatha. We will learn an ancient prediction related to the deity in this temple.
After lunch we will trek (6 km) to Bhavishya Badri temple. To reach this holy place, one has to pass through dense forests. The temple houses the deity of Lord Nrisimhadeva, the incarnation of Vishnu in the form of a lion-man.

Day 7. September 20, 2025, Saturday.

The higher we climb up the mountains, the more rapid the currents of the tributaries of the Ganga become. Vishnuprayag is an amazing place in terms of energy, where you can wash yourself only from a bucket, because the current is so strong here.
On our way to Badrinath we will visit the Yoga Dhyan Badri temple. This temple of Vishnu is located in the small village of Pandukeshwar (1920m). Pandu, the father of the Pandavas, practiced here after a curse imposed on him by a sage.

Early in the morning we will leave for the main temple of Badrinath. Before entering it, pilgrims take ablution in the hot springs of Tapt Kund and Narada Kund.
After lunch, we will go to the cave of Muchukunda, the great king and general who helped the devas liberate the paradise kingdom from demons and met Lord Krishna here.

Day 9. September 22, 2025, Monday.
Badrinath, Mana, Vyasadeva and Ganesha caves, Saraswati River, Vasudhara Falls.

Mana village is the last village in India before the border with Tibet (China). A picturesque village where locals weave wool carpets and collect medicinal herbs. We will visit the caves of Vyasadeva and Ganesha and learn how the Vedas were recorded here.
After lunch we will trek(6 km) to Vasudhara Waterfalls, passing over a bridge in the form of an overturned mountain made by Bhima – one of the Pandav brothers.

Day 11. September 24, 2025, Wednesday.
Joshimath, Auli.
Cable car.

Today we descend from Badrinath to Joshimath and ascend by cable car to Auli, a ski resort. Here, weather permitting, we will be able to observe a stunning panorama of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. We will make a short trek through the moss and liana covered Himalayan forest and reach the Gurzon valley. The atmosphere here is so meditative that our hectic thoughts will leave us somewhere out there before we even meet the cable car.

Transfer to Rishikesh (250 km).
