Once long ago, about five thousand years ago, at a time when Krishna himself walked the earth, the sage Agastya Muni created a unique system of predictions that has survived in South India. He left a collection of individualized predictions written on palm leaves, known as the Agastya-samhita or the Nadi-grandha. These ancient texts are kept in special libraries, and reciters – agastya-shastri – are trained in the art of finding the right scroll from a person’s fingerprint. It is believed that in the Library of Nadi lie the scrolls of only those who are destined to know their future – random visitors are not brought there by fate.

According to the legend of the curse and redemption, the planets were cursed by Brahma for giving gifts to mortals without permission and sent to earth with leprosy where they wandered in misery. But they prayed to Shiva, asking for redemption, and Shiva blessed them, granting each his abode in those places. Since that time these temples have become places of worship for the planets, and the planets themselves have become mediators of various graces. Properly performed rituals in these temples will help to correct the negative astrological influences of the planets on your destiny.
