Travel program

Day 1. Meet and greet at Mexico City Airport. Transfer and accommodation in a 4* hotel. Free day to relax and explore Mexico’s capital city on your own.

Day 2. Teotihuacan – Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe – Mexico City sightseeing tour.

You will go to the mysterious Teotihuacan – the cult center of ancient Indians, striking with its scale and grandeur of buildings. There is a hypothesis that the ancient inhabitants of Teotihuacan had knowledge of cosmic energy, which is now lost, and that the precise orientation of ancient buildings by the sun, moon and stars has its own deep meaning. The strictest geometric layout of Teotihuacan confirms these assumptions. You will see Mexico’s most majestic pyramids, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon.

A sightseeing tour of Mexico City, one of the largest metropolitan areas. Elite neighborhoods and slums, skyscrapers built on modern technologies and small mansions – all this creates a unique image of the city of contrasts – Mexico City. You will go to the Socalo Square, which is an important historical center of the capital. Here are concentrated the main monuments of history and architecture; the Cathedral, the National Palace with frescoes by Diego Rivera (***provided that the Palace is open to the public) and others.

During the tour you will visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe (the patron saint of Mexico), steeped in legends and miracles.

Overnight in a 4* hotel in Mexico City.

Day 3. Mexico City – City of Angels Puebla (130 km) – Oaxaca (345 km).

In the morning we leave for Puebla. According to legend, angels appeared to a bishop, indicating the location of the future city.

The “City of Angels” is reached by a scenic road protected by two active volcanoes, Popocatepetl and Istaxihuatl, whose snow-capped peaks point high into the sky. The city itself will amaze you with its magnificent colonial architecture, historical monuments, including the Rosario Chapel, the Santo Domingo Monastery, and the UNESCO-protected City Cathedral.

Churches and houses decorated with ceramic tiles “talavera”, the scenery of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes make this city a dream for lovers of beautiful photos and ancient architecture.

But if your main weakness is cuisine, the “gastronomic capital of Mexico” will not disappoint. Be sure to try the mole poblano sauce, which combines the unbeatable flavors of chocolate and hot chili peppers, as well as the famous stuffed peppers – chiles en nogada.

We will then continue our journey to Oaxaca. The road to this city strikes you with picturesque views of mountains densely covered with giant cacti (here you can make a small stop and take pictures with these exotic plants).
